Rinse the wool hair in clean water, press the water out with your fingers, and reshape the head. Dry it flat or head down. Wool holds water, so make sure it is dry before dusting bisque.
Keep them separate. Each purchase is one brush, so pick one for dry dusting and another for glaze or underglaze, since dust and glaze residue both stay in the hair.
Usually two to three smooth coats on dusted bisque, each dry to the touch first. Wool holds a lot of liquid, so load it lightly to avoid drips and thick spots.

A soft wool brush is the potter’s all-rounder. Brush dust off bisqueware before glazing, dampen a join or rim, or lay down a smooth coat of glaze or underglaze. Soft hair will not scratch leather-hard or bisque surfaces.
