Tweezers are best for small, light pieces such as cups, ornaments and test tiles. Use dipping tongs for larger mugs and bowls.
The points press lightly on the edge and leave only a tiny mark that is easy to touch up.
Any grip point leaves a small bare spot. Pointed tips keep those spots tiny, and you can dab them with a fingertip of glaze or a small brush once the piece is out of the bucket.
A typical dip is about two to four seconds, depending on the glaze thickness and how porous the bisque is. Test on a tile first and record the time that gives the result you want.
