Dip the brush in slip and scrub both surfaces until they are rough and tacky, then press the pieces together.
They are soft. They work well with slip on soft leather-hard clay. Use a needle tool or serrated rib for firmer clay.
Soft leather-hard clay. With soft bristles, wetter clay just smears and dry clay barely takes a mark, so wait until the piece holds its shape but still feels cool and damp.
Rinse the slip out of the bristles right away, shake off the water and let each brush dry bristles up. Bamboo handles last longer if they are not left soaking.
