Small (about 0.7 in hair) for fine detail and lettering, medium (about 1 in) for general outlines, large (about 1.1 in) for long, flowing lines. The mixed set includes one of each.
They are two versions listed by the maker. Compare the style photos and pick the look you prefer.
Thin the underglaze slightly, load the full length of the hair, and pull the brush with steady pressure while turning the pot on a banding wheel.
Rinse the fine hair right after painting so underglaze does not set near the copper ferrule. Shape the tip to a point and let it dry flat. Do not scrub, since long hair tangles easily.
Pigment lingers in fine hair, so yes if you can. Assign brushes by color family, such as one for dark outlines and one for light, and mark the handles.
Lines often need one or two passes. Let the first line dry to the touch before going over it, and check your underglaze jar for its recommended coat count.
