Use soft, smooth clay, press firmly, and dust the mold with cornstarch for a clean release.
Dust the silicone with cornstarch, then press soft clay in firmly. Flex the mold to pop out the leaf or flower, and let the clay stiffen a few minutes if it clings.
No. The molds tolerate about 392 F but are not for the kiln. Remove the clay applique first, let it dry, and fire only the clay.
