The optical film backing sits flat on clay, so lay it on a slab, mug or plate that is leather-hard and press out air. Pull a thin layer of creamy underglaze across, then lift straight up.
Use underglaze for fired pottery. The same screen is used with acrylic on polymer clay earrings, but acrylic does not survive a kiln.
Rinse it as soon as you finish and soak a few minutes, then dry it flat. The gaps between pebbles and swirls are small, so dried underglaze can close them.
Gentle curves are fine. For a stronger curve, print a flat slab first and build with it, which also lets the swirls run across a whole piece.
Yes. Fire the underglaze with the piece, and clear glaze can go over it afterward. Check your underglaze range against the clay body.
