The screen has no adhesive, so center the 4 x 5 in design on leather-hard or bone-dry clay and hold it or tape the edges. Pull creamy underglaze across in one pass, then lift straight up.

Underglaze is the choice for pieces you will fire. Acrylic does not survive a kiln, so leave it to polymer clay and other unfired crafts.

Rinse the mesh right after printing and soak it for a few minutes. Dry it flat, since the fine petal lines clog if underglaze hardens in them.

A round or square mandala sits well on the gentle curve of a mug side or a wide bowl. For a plate center or a tight curve, print on a flat slab first.
