The largest is about 3.9 x 2 in; the others are a little smaller.

Rubber flexes to follow curves and leaves a smooth, compressed surface. Wood is stiffer for shaping walls on the wheel. Many potters keep both.
They are made for clay. Keep a separate rib if you want to spread slip or underglaze.

Soft rubber ribs bend to the curve of a pot, so they compress and smooth clay without digging in. Use them to clear slip off thrown walls, compress the floor of a bowl, refine curves and smooth handbuilt joins.
Rinse and dry them after use.
